From the car park head towards the visitor centre and continue along the same path to reach a road SW 650 434. Turn left to follow the road up to a gate, follow this path through Tehidy Woods to join the road at SW 641 438.
Turn left and walk along the verge to find the lane on the opposite side of the road. Follow the lane down to the carpark, taking the footpath on the right side of the parking area. Follow the footpath along the coast ignoring all the inland paths (note there are two long descents and climbs on this section of the walk). The footpath descends into Portreath and there find a gate leading to a lane SW 650 452 Turn right onto the lane then left to follow the Coast Path markers.
When you reach the road, turn left to cross over the bridge and enter the carpark ahead. Toilets and refreshments are available here. From the car park behind the café on the right find the steps down to small beach. Walk across the beach towards the pub, turn left immediately on the far side of the pub, and bear left to pass in front of the wooden huts. Go around to the far side of the huts and follow the path along the harbour wall until you reach the roadSW 656 452. (There is a convenience store on the bend in the road to the left if required).
Turn right on to Beach Road and when safe to do so, cross the road to take the short connecting road to join Railway Terrace then pass under the bridge and join Glenfeadon Terrace. Follow the road looking for a sharp right turn, Primrose Terrace, signed ‘Mining Trail’ SW 659 452.
Go up this lane a short distance to find a footpath on the right. Follow this path as it climbs up through the woods to emerge at a farm park with a deer enclosure. When the path terminates turn left onto the lane and right, at the metal elephant, keep the park lodges on your right side. Follow the lane up the hill until in turns right, here take the footpath ahead, which leads to a road. Cross over the road and enter Tehidy at the East Lodge carparkSW 657 440.
Follow the path directly ahead, turning right to follow Pine Walk, at the end of the golf course turn left just past the notice board. At the end of this path turn left again, signed car park, and follow the path down to a gate. Continue along the road in the same direction to find a path on the right. Follow this path back to the visitor centre and car park.
