Start by walking East, towards St Michaels Mount, along the Prom and around the harbour, through the railway station car park to pick up the coast path near the pumping station SW 476 305.
Follow the coast path to the footbridge at SW 485 311. Cross the bridge and then the A30 at the pedestrian lights. Turn right and in about 100 yards, next to the A30, you come across the most easterly boundary stone “e” at SW 486 312. It is not in it’s original position but it is still standing.
From here travel around or through Sainsburys car park to Possens Lane SW 484 313, pass GMO Cars and head up towards Gulval church. Keep left of the Church and turn left past the Coldstreamer public house. Walk 100 yards and take the footpath on the right (just under pub pint glass on OS map) at SW 483 318 heading North East. Cross the B3311 road to St Ives at SW 480 320 to Trenow Farm.
75yrds up the road from Trenow Farm, on the right, is another boundary stone “f”, knocked over and abandoned in the hedge at SW 480 320. We do not advise trying to find it as it is on a dangerous corner.
Pass through Trenow Farm, head down the hill to the bottom and find the path that branches off to the left. Cross the stream and head up the hill to the road (Helnoweth Hill) SW 476 321.
Cross the road to the path opposite that passes Little Rosemorran Farm and then through some delightful woods, to Trevaylor and the road to Newmill at SW 469 324.
Turn right, pass the nursing home on the left, before turning left through Trevalyor farm. Head for Bone and stay on the drive through the hamlet before taking the path to the left as you leave.
When you reach the road at Tremearne SW 461 321, turn left towards Heamoor.
As you pass the campsite at Merry Meeting, look back and see the boundary stone “g” to the right of the campsite gateway SW 461 317.
Walk down the road with the allotments to your right. Turn right at Joseph’s Lane and follow it for a mile or so of quiet road walking past Mounts Bay Academy and Trengwainton Gardens. Slightly past the turning to Lesingey lane, you are looking for a footpath on your left that crosses the river with a house on the right, Parc an Growes at SW 447 308.
Follow this footpath to Tregavarah, but please be careful of traffic on A3071, the St Just road.
As you enter Tregavarah, just before reaching the road, look to your left and back to see the next boundary stone “h” at Dennis Place SW 446 300 which is actually marked on the OS map. The first so far.
Turn right along the road through Tregavarah and take the footpath through a white gate on the left as the road bends to the right SW 446 298.
Follow this path with Trewidden house on your right until you reach the A30. Cross the road with care and walk down the hill through a complex of buildings to a bridge over the Newlyn River at SW 451 290.
Cross the bridge (ignore the footpath that goes straight on as it is perpetually boggy and you can’t get through) and turn right for about 50 yards before meeting another path at SW 451 289 where you turn sharp left. You meet a few cottages before reaching the main road out of Newlyn at Stable Hobba SW 454 292.
Turn right and follow the road into Newlyn where you will get to the Penzance road at SW 462 289. Turn left and then turn right past the Tolcarne Inn and the prom back to the notice board.
