Enter the churchyard and pass by the church, head for a footpath in the far-left corner. Cross stile and continue ahead on the lane beyond. Enter field and cross directly across to reach stile, in the next field keep to the right-hand boundary and pass through the hedge, ignoring the stile on the right.
Descend some steps, then turn left at SW 764 526 and keep to the left-hand boundary in the field. Again, pass through a gap in the hedge in the far corner and descend some steps and follow the path to the right of a house, cross over two bridges then turn left on to the road at SW 762 528.
After 100 metres look out for a footpath on the right, follow the footpath uphill and at the end turn left on to a track. At the end of the track turn left on to a road, after 100 meters, take the footpath on the right. Follow the path as it passes between two hedges to reach another road. Turn right then almost left on to a byway at SW 751 527. (There is a prohibition notice here, it does not refer to the byway)
Turn right into a lane signed Railway View, then follow the route indicated by the marker posts. Find a footpath that runs alongside a fence, pass over. Two stiles to reach a camp site, continue past the camp site buildings to reach the road at SW 745 531.
Turn right and follow the road for 100 meters, then turn left into a road, almost immediately turn right into a parking area and follow the footpath beyond as it descends in Perranporth. The path will lead on to a road, which will lead to the beach, turn left at the bottom with a carpark on the right. Cross a small bridge and the turn left to reach another bridge on to the beach. Turn left and follow the course of the river to cross another bridge, follow the lane beyond to reach the road at SW 758 544.
Cross over the road and at the roundabout take the first road to pass the Co-Op. Continue along the road to find a footpath on the left. Cross over the road to find a footpath on the opposite side, which is the old disused railway line. Continue to follow this path, with one small road section at Cocks, to reach Goonharven at SW 784 536.
Cross over the road and take the footpath indicated opposite. Cross a small area of open land then follow the right-hand hedge to cross two stiles and a gate. Continue to follow the path to join a lane by a house. Pass through a gate and take the right-hand fork in the lane. At the next junction, SW 786 529, take the middle of the three options, then take the next track on the right.
Continue on the track to pass a barn on the right, keeping straight ahead at the next junction. Where the track bends to the left, SW 784 527, continue straight ahead, then turn right onto track and pass a sign for Carnkief Farmhouse. Continue ahead into a field and follow the path around the property as it descends into some woodland.
Cross the bridge over a stream and follow the narrow and overgrown path uphill to emerge into, what at the time of writing was, a boggy field. Cross the field to reach a gate which leads on to a road at SW 778 518. Follow the road to the end then cross the road to reach the start.
