From the church, walk down the hill towards Crowlas and, after about 50 yards, just past the last house on the right, find the footpath sign for the St Michael’s Way.
Go through one field and at the bottom, cross the road, over a style and into another field. At the bottom of the field turn right onto a road.
At the A30, cross the road using the pedestrian refuge, and slightly to the right, cross the style and follow the path through 3 fields to the A394 Penzance to Helston road SW 511 319.
Follow the St Michael’s way sign through a gate and down the path through some woods into Marazion Marsh and alongside the bird sanctuary. Cross the railway line and then over a style and continue through the marshes and then over a small bridge turning slightly left.
Cross a stone style into a side road SW 513 311, and then, when you reach the main Penzance to Marazion Road, turn right and follow the coast path along the seashore crossing the road to the left hand side.
Go through the car park and follow the coast path until you get to the level crossing SW 497 312.
Turn right over the railway, and when you get to the main road go straight across into the Long Rock Industrial Estate. Keep on the left as you walk through the estate. As the road turns sharp right, go straight onto the footbridge over the A30.
Continue along the road until you get to a T junction where you turn left and then almost immediately turn right up the bridleway.
At SW 488 312, at the junction of paths, turn right over the style and continue on the footpath towards Tolver. When you reach the farmyard, turn left up a short track which takes you to a road and turn right.
As you go down the hill, turn left at the public footpath sign which also indicates Saint Michaels Way.
You are now walking through the Tremenheere Sculpture Garden. Keep left of the tea shop (why not stop for a cup of tea?), and follow the St Michael’s Way, straight on over a stream by a bridge.
The footpath becomes a track that takes you into Tregarthen where you walk slightly left at the junction of tracks, up the hill and then pick up the Saint Michael’s Way sign after 30 yards.
Follow the path, climb over a stile down into a valley, cross a small stream and then up the other side before joining a road that takes you straight into Ludgvan and the end of the walk.
If you are lucky, the White Hart pub may be open, you deserve a pint!
