Your donation supports the maintenance and preservation of Cornwall’s public rights of way.
It helps fund projects like erecting signposts, clearing obstructions, waymarking and addressing closures and diversions. Our ever expanding library of walks benefits too.
We work with Cornwall Council to upgrade the “Definitive Map” to ensure it accurately records every public right of way over private land, with a special focus on those which were omitted from the map when it was first produced in 1953.
Paths which are missing from the map are in danger of disappearing for ever.
We develop and share walks of different lengths and levels of difficulty, including wonderful but neglected inland routes.
The Ordnance Survey’s online ‘OS Map’ App includes many routes from the West Cornwall Footpaths Preservation Society. To find these routes in the App, select “Routes”, then “Find routes”. Once in the screen, choose “Recommended” and search for “West Cornwall Footpaths Preservation Society” under “Partners”. There are nearly 100 routes already available and more being added, each with detailed descriptions.
