Penwith Landscape Partnership

The Penwith Landscape Partnership, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, Cornwall Council and other sources, has now ceased operations after delivering a five-year programme of work aimed at conserving and enhancing Penwith’s unique landscape.

The PLP’s access project supported the enhanced maintenance and promotion of pathways around the peninsula; focussing on the routes which link archaeological sites using existing Rights of Way and paths on access land, largely through a programme of volunteer activity.

A key element of this was to join up the Tinners’ Way and promote it as a longer-distance linear walking route, a project still to be completed in which WCFPS will be involved.

PLP contributed toward recording historic paths on the definitive map for the 2026 deadline.
