We are a footpaths preservation society. The West Cornwall Footpaths Preservation Society (WCFPS) came into being over 60 years ago. At present there are some 350 members spread around western Cornwall and further afield. The objects of the WCFPS are to preserve public footpaths and bridleways, which is done mainly by ensuring they are walked regularly. The original membership lived and walked in West Penwith but now the membership walks throughout western Cornwall and occasionally elsewhere. Go to the History Page for more detail.
We are always looking for new members to walk or lead walks.
Our walks can be anywhere from Lands End to Newquay.
